The biggest land losses in Bangladesh happen when people do not understand their papers, do not know what to cross-check, and trust the wrong person. Jomi Bondhu exists so that an ordinary person — who may buy land once in a lifetime — can understand in their own language, on their own phone and without internet: what this paper proves, what it does not, and what to do next.

Where the content comes from

• All guides, checklists, glossary entries, document explanations and legal summaries come from a Bangla handbook, Bangladesh Land & Property Complete Guide 2026. Current content edition: 2026-09-11.
• For government services, fees and forms the app points to official sources: the Ministry of Land's service portal (land.gov.bd), the Directorate of Land Records and Surveys (settlement.gov.bd) and the relevant offices. The domain is shown on every link.
• Every legal item carries a “last verified” date. When a fee or rule changes, the content edition is updated.

Principles behind the app

1. Offline first. In the village, in the land-office queue or on a budget phone, everything works without internet.
2. Nothing without a source. The Land Guide answers only from the handbook text; when there is no match it says so instead of guessing.
3. Not used until confirmed. Document details feed the mismatch checks only after you confirm them against the original paper.
4. Your data is yours. No accounts, servers, ads or tracking; everything is encrypted on the phone.
5. Plain Bangla for everyone. Task-based home, read-aloud guidance, large text and high contrast.
6. Not for wrongdoing. The app declines questions about forged deeds, fraud or forcible possession.

What the app is not

Jomi Bondhu is not part of any government system, not a lawyer and not a surveyor. It prepares you to ask the right questions, request the right papers and avoid wrong steps.
